Got back from a meeting in London to find that Storm had been damaged in a public car-park on Friday evening Sad

I haven't taken any pics yet as frankly been trying to avoid looking at it. The damage is to the rear of the front passenger wheel arch. There is a reasonable sized dent and a few scraps where the paint has been taken off. My first thought was to go to Mazda to get a quote but I am guessing this is going to cost in the region of £300 to £500. I don't really want to put it through my insurance. It may be that one of those companies that do minor dent and paint repairs could sort it out.

Can anyone recommend such an outfit in the Woking or Godalming areas?

Cheers

Sorry to hear about that, I had my rear arch replaced and the paint match and work standard was very good from Crown Coachworks in twickenham. It took them weeks to get a correct match but the end result was very good.

Sorry to hear about that Maria.
I know how annoying it is as someone has scratched my car in the company car park, but its only minor in my case.

I have used www.Chipsaway.co.uk in the past & the finished result looked very good.
(Front bumper repair cost £160)

They matched the colour perfectly, by identifying the right variant of 3 sunlight silvers!

That's really grim Maria & something that happens far too often these days.
At least the damage is relatively minimal.

The garage I'd recommend is:-

E E Holloway
Cumberland Works,
Wintersells Road,
West Byfleet,
Surrey, KT14 7LF

01932 341370

My God they did a great job on 2LAG after United Coachworks at New Malden had sprayed it the wrong colour & badly fitted everything else.

I thought you said they used the wrong colour primer and then wouldn't repair the mistake when the pink primer started showing through with fresh stone chips.

Yes, that it true, but then it was a) down to the inexperience of the particular franchised painter & b) susceptible to stone chips cos it was the front of the car.

Sorry to hear of the storm damage...

A friend of mine uses Chips away, often Smile and says the outcomes are spot on.

best of luck

Sorry to hear that K, know exactly how you feel as it happens to me all the time. Sad So far I reckon I'm owed £3000 in damage done to my car. If I catch someone, I'll take the whole lot out on theirs. Twisted Evil

Sorry to hear about the damage to your car Sad

I've had a good experience with the Guildford Chipsaway guy in the past. However it turned out that I just needed a dent removed and a really good polish to remove the scratches. I don't know now good the results are with a partial respray.

So sorry to hear about Storm being damaged. I know just hopw you feel after mine was crunched in a Leamington Spa car park last year and needed a new wing Crying or Very sad

I can confirm my experience of chipsaway has been quite good. There used to be one in Woking (over Maybury way) but I think he has gone mobile - which might suit you better?

There is always Halfords if the damage is light.

These guys are probably out of your area, but there is also a paint shop in West End (Lucas green) that did the repairs to mine. A fine job they did too.
