PlanetMX5 Motorsport.

The idea for PlanetMX5 Motorsport came about in December 2006. Four of us were sitting around discussing life and MX5s when the discussion turned to the idea of a 'cartel' of people clubbing together to buy an old MX5 as cheaply as we could, stripping it out and using it for various motorsport events such as trackdays, hill-climbs, sprints and airfield auto-crosses. And so the idea was born.

After throwing the idea out to everyone one the forum we ended up with eight people who were seriously interested and prepared to throw a modest amount of money at the prospect.

And thus was born..PlanetMX5 Motorsports.

£750 was the purchase price and here's what we got for our money:

Taxed, 6 months MOT and in pretty good nick. Coolant loss is a known issue to be sorted and the sills have been badly scraped with the rear nearside needing a repair patch sooner rather than later. All-in-all, we're very pleased.
